We provide online tools including the "Excel Data Extractor" and the "CSV to Excel Mapper" (collectively, the "Service") accessible via our website at www.spreadsheetsmapper.com. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data responsibly.

This Privacy Policy explains how we process information when you use our Service. By using the Service, you agree to the handling of information as described here. Our Service operates without requiring user accounts.

Information We Process

To provide the core functions of our Service, we temporarily process the following information:

• Your Uploaded Files: You upload files (.xlsx, .csv) containing data and/or templates required by the specific tool you are using (Extractor or Mapper). How we handle them:
  • These files are sent securely (via HTTPS) to our server solely for the purpose of performing the requested operation (extracting data or mapping CSV data into the template).
  • Processing happens temporarily on the server, often directly in memory or temporary storage space.
  • Your uploaded files and their contents are NOT stored permanently on our servers. They are automatically and immediately deleted from the server's temporary storage or memory once the processing is complete (your output file/zip is generated) or if the process fails or is cancelled.
  • We do not analyze, share, sell, or use the content of your uploaded files for any purpose other than fulfilling your request through the Service.
  • You remain solely responsible for the data contained within the files you choose to upload.
• Configuration Templates (Optional, Stored Locally): If you use the "Save Template" feature in either tool, the specific configuration (e.g., grid setup for Extractor, header mappings for Mapper) is saved directly within your web browser's local storage on your own computer. This data is not sent to our servers unless you explicitly load a saved template to use it for a processing session. You can delete these templates anytime using the Service interface or by clearing your browser's storage.
• Temporary Task Information: While your files are being processed, we use temporary internal identifiers and status indicators (like progress percentage, "processing", "complete") to manage the task and provide feedback to you via the progress display. This temporary operational data does not include the content of your files and is automatically deleted shortly after the task finishes or fails.
• Standard Web Server Logs: Like most websites, our servers automatically collect basic technical information when you access the Service (e.g., IP address, browser type, operating system, pages visited, timestamps). This anonymous data helps us monitor performance, diagnose technical problems, and maintain security. It is not used to personally identify you or analyze your uploaded file content.

How We Use Information

The limited information processed is used exclusively to:

• Operate the Service: Perform the data extraction or mapping/generation based on your uploaded files and configuration.
• Provide Feedback: Show processing progress and status updates.
• Maintain and Improve: Monitor server performance, troubleshoot technical issues, and understand general usage patterns (based on anonymous logs) to enhance the Service.
• Ensure Security: Protect the Service from abuse or security threats.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share the content of your uploaded files with any third parties. We do not share your configuration templates (stored locally by you). Anonymous server log data is not shared except as required for technical operations or legal compliance.

We may use third-party hosting providers; these providers do not have permission to access or use your file content except as technically necessary to run the service infrastructure, and they operate under strict confidentiality agreements.

We may disclose technical log information if required by law or valid legal process.

Data Security

We use HTTPS (SSL/TLS) to encrypt data transmitted between your browser and our server. We implement reasonable security measures on our servers. However, no online service can guarantee 100% security. You are responsible for ensuring the data within the files you upload is appropriate and does not contain sensitive information you are not authorized to process or transmit.

Data Retention

To reiterate:

• Uploaded Files: Deleted immediately after processing finishes, fails, or is cancelled. Not stored.
• Local Templates: Stored in your browser until you delete them.
• Temporary Task Info: Deleted automatically within a short period after task completion/failure.
• Server Logs: Retained for standard diagnostic/security periods (e.g., 30-90 days).

Your Rights (Philippines Data Privacy Act)

As we primarily process data temporarily and do not store your file content, your rights focus on the data you control and any minimal logs we retain:

• You have the right to manage templates stored locally in your browser.
• You have the right to be informed about our data processing (via this policy).
• You may inquire about any potential log data associated with your usage by contacting us.

Children's Privacy

This Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us immediately.
